Exposing The Ice Cream Lab
The Ice Cream Lab is a dessert stop opening soon in Colorado Springs that claims to serve nitrogen ice cream and other treats. Unfortunately, they're hiding their dark truths behind a sweet exterior. Taking advantage of excited fans, lying on social media, and desperately trying to hide the truth, their behavior will leave a sour taste in your mouth.
Misleading fans on social media is bad business, but isn't necessarily morally wrong. However, the ice cream themed business recently took it too far. On August 15th, they announced a soft opening after delaying for for months due to alleged issues with licensing. Fans were quick to express their excitement after waiting so long. However, this excitement soon turned to shock when the next day, The Ice Cream Lab posted that they had been robbed. They claim that their nitrogen levers were stolen by a family member close to the business, and asked their followers to donate to a GoFundMe. This GoFundMe is asking for $10,000 from the community members.. It appears that The Ice Cream Lab is using their fans' excitement to get them to donate money. Multiple people have donated over $50 to the fundraiser. Even if there was a robbery, I don't believe there is any way the business would need $10,000 from the community. (This is all opinion based on research and a private investigation conducted. Nothing is fact or proven, but is alleged.)(To make this a completely fair article, I will add: The owners of the Ice Cream Lab did not create the fundraiser, but are pushing it on their posts and in their comments.)
After attempting to get a statement from the business, I was blocked from the site. We will continue to investigate.
